Dr. D. Maya is a Professor of English and retired as Principal of University College, Thiruvananthapuram. She is a bilingual writer with ten published books to her credit - two in English and eight books in Malayalam including the award-winning biography of her father. The Muse graced her quill rather late, but her poems have been published in different anthologies. Desert Blooms is her first volume of poems.
